VocaVibe

AI platform using voice biomarkers to monitor neurological disorders

Unmet Need

There are over 1M patients who are living with Parkinson’s in the US alone, and that number is expected to rise over the upcoming decade. Parkinson’s disease is caused by the death of dopamine cells, and 60% to 80% of the dopaminergic-releasing cells are lost by the time motor symptoms appear. Parkinson’s takes a tremendous physical toll on patients, while simultaneously placing heavy economic burdens on health-care systems around the world.

Proposed Solution

Voca is developing a diagnostic test based on the human voice, using biomarkers that provide information on the condition of Neurological disorders (Parkinson, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s etc.). This will enable patient monitoring from a remote location non-invasively using a smartphone or tablet.

Voca’s medical system will provide information about the detection of the disease, the stages of the disease, the effects of the medical (pharmacological and surgical), and behavioral treatments through biofeedback.  The system is based on voice processing, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
